For 50 years, Precision Technology, Inc. has been a leader in manufacturing high quality circuit boards throughout the Intermountain West. In business since 1968, Precision Technology, Inc. prides itself on keeping up with advancing technology while also capitalizing on the longevity of their business over the years. PTI is comprised of 45 to 50 highly skilled engineers, technicians, production workers, and sales/customer service personnel.
The average tenure of its staff is 13 years, with a combined experience of over 580 years. With such a high level of experience, each circuit board is custom-built, meeting the needs of each purchase specification while also being delivered on-time.
Robert Jones has been the owner and direct manager of PTI since 1979, although he has recently stepped back and hired aPrecision Technology 2 business manager to run the day-to-day operations. With a career totaling 49 years of experience in the printed circuit board manufacturing industry, Jones has been versatile in the ever-evolving trade of manufacturing printed circuit boards. In a market where most manufacturing has moved overseas, PTI locally manufactures custom printed circuit boards with skilled technicians to service everything from commercial electronics to the medical industry. PTI’s adaptability in changing their manufacturing processes to meet the demands of new technology and their commitment to quality in meeting their customer’s needs has helped them grow their business, mainly through repeat business and referrals.
PTI’s circuit boards have been in space, were used in the equipment that discovered and documented the Titanic, powered the first artificial heart that was pioneered here in Utah, control nuclear reactors, and are used in most of the jet ways in airports around the world.
PTI’s customers build machinery, computers, controls, medical devices, lighting, locomotives, etc., that touch most every aspect of modern life.
Brighton Bank has partnered with PTI since the South Salt Lake branch opened in 1980, and has been instrumental in helping PTI keep up with the latest equipment and technology.
