Family business owned for over 54 years!
For over 46 years, Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Chocolates and Ice Cream has been Utah’s Mrs. Cavanaugh's 1premiere confectionary, specializing in the highest quality treats. Marie Cavanaugh started her business in 1964 to meet the demand for her chocolates and pecan rolls. What started as a way to contribute to a church-building fundraiser, eventually expanded to enlist the help of her husband and five children.
After moving the family to Utah from South Dakota in 1972, the business officially became known as Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Candies, and is still family owned and operated by the 2nd and 3rd generations of the family. Based in North Salt Lake, Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Chocolates and Ice Cream hires locally and is actively involved in local charities; they also pass out chocolates and ice cream in parades!
Mrs. Cavanaugh’s Chocolates and Ice Cream contributes their success to never compromising when it comes to quality—they only use real cream butter and “the best chocolate money can buy”.
They pride themselves on the exquisite taste of their chocolates and are renowned around the country, as their chocolates, perfect as a gift for any occasion, can be purchased on their website as well as any of their six locations around northern Utah.
