Babcock Design Group (BDG) is an interdisciplinary design firm offering services in architecture, planning, entitlement, and interior design throughout the country, serving primarily the Intermountain West. Principal and founder Fred Babcock, started Babcock Design Group in 1984. The firm began its second generation when it was purchased in 2008 by the current four partners. Their offices are located in Salt Lake City and Boise.
Every project the company designs is fundamentally unique because they believe successful buildings result from the skillful integration of three primary factors: client, site and program. Because these influences vary on each project, the resulting solutions vary as well. The process is truly a team collaboration, one that brings innovation to the forefront and transforms the client’s wishes into reality, creating design that makes a difference.
Babcock Design Group believes that communication is the key to a successful project and relationship. They continually focus on strong management techniques communicating with all parties involved. Each team listens and learns about what issues are critical to their clients and end users; striving to achieve continual improvement in their approach to project typology. BDG believes in going above and beyond by creating concierge customer service - and in doing so have gained long-term business partners and more importantly, friends.
Babcock Design Group’s portfolio is diverse. They help create experiences forClif Bar Twin Falls work, play, home, education, wellness, civic engagement, retail and urban mixed-use. Their efforts are always focused on providing well-designed, issue-specific environments that not only allow clients to realize their vision, but also serve the creation of community through transformative, healthy and vibrant spaces.
Babcock Design Group is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), U. S. Green Building Council (USGBC), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). The firm is a strong advocate for the communities they serve and believe in giving back by supporting the Road Home, the Food Bank and several times a year the employees prepare meals at the Ronald McDonald House.
